Saturday boarding ship

Not much to say. Saturday we slept in and packed up, ate a nice buffet lunch and headed to the pier to board the ship. A little bit of confusion as they said the ship was full at 2200 people. The ship is real nice but will take a couple of days to figure out where everything is. Retired early to get ready for our excursion on Sunday

Pearl Harbor

Today we got up bright and early and headed out to Pearl Harbor. We were not able to go to the Punch bowl due to a funeral going on. We enjoyed it a lot. We stopped at a State Park along the way and we saw a chicken eating a chicken leg that my brother-in-law took a picture of (it doesn't take much to amuse us). The bus driver said he was going to put it on U-Tube. The bus driver took us a tour of Honolulu since we had to wait for the boat to take us to the Arizona. After we got back we ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant and shopped, shopped, shopped!
Tomorrow we will sleep in a little and pack up and board the ship!

We had a busy day today. Went to orientation and then to the Polynesian Cultural Center. We visited the different villages and tried to do the Hula. I'll try to pot the pictures below. At the end we had a Hawaiian dinner there followed by a Luau which was fantastic! Tomorrow we have to leave at 6:30 to go to Pearl Harbor and see the Arizone Memorial (my sister thought we were going to Phoenix - close!).

We have arrived!

After 9 hours in the air we finally arrived about 1:30 Hawaii time which is 6 hours behind us at home. The flights went real well with no delays After being on the plane so long we had to walk and what better place to walk to is SHOPPING! Not sure what we're going to do tomorrow but we'll decide after we go to a breakfast orientation. I think a luau and Pearl Harbor are definitely on the agenda. Will keep you posted.

Nephew's wedding

I attended my nephew's wedding last night (also my Godson) and had a great time. I am posting a picture of my 5 sisters, brother and I so that I can perfect my skills at posting a picture.

Pre-Hawaii Trip

Next week at this time, my sister and I and our husbands will be flying into Hawaii. We have been planning this trip for about a year and are looking forward to it. We are flying into Honolulu and staying for 3 days and then we will be getting on a cruise ship for a week, cruising the islands and then we will be flying over to the Big Island and staying for 3 days. This is my first try at this blog thing, so bear with me as I am not the computer expert. I hope you check back soon for uptdates!
